Okay, so I know this is awhile in coming but here goes.....five weird habits about me:

1) I have a sigh for almost every moment of my life.   Those of you who know pretty well probably understand what most of them mean.

2) I absolutely adore black licorice!  See I don't think that is such a weird fact or habit, there are many others who like the stuff too.  But, I have gone as far as getting licorice toothpaste.

3) I don't mind dumpster diving.  You can find some awsome stuff for free!  On the top that is, I don't go digging.....too deep.

4) I work at a job where I contribute towards saving the world everyday.  Never thought I would REALLY do that.  It was also just an, "Oh, that would be kinda cool"!  Go figure.  I consider it a habit because I spend at least 40 hours a week there.

5) I have been told I talk to myself.  How would I know if I really do this, I mean, I never answer myself.

Alright Sarah and anyone else who reads this.  There ya go, five weird habits, a couple of which I think you already knew.

Talk to you soon!

Okay so there is a sever weather warning posted for my area of residence.  You would never guess what it is, a far cry from the severe weather of the midwest......an air stagnation warning.   There will be stagnant air for the next few days, that just makes me laugh! Ha, Ha!

Work is going well, I was approached very early and unofficially about a promotion :) :)  WooHoo!!!  I would absolutely love it!  If it happens I would be coordinating teams to Indonesia, how cool is that?  Well, I think it's pretty cool, the Lord works in mysterious ways and there are a few of you, Sarah and Erin, that can read more into that one.  I also have been learning a lot at work, or rather, the Lord has teaching me a lot.  The subject of learning?....conflict management, and learning to keep my mouth shut and not gossip about stupid co-workers.  Yeah, all good lessons to learn, sometimes I wish we could ignore those and just go on gossiping and slandering, but that is so far from the image of Christ.   I am having to learn to stand up for myself some too and not let people walk over top of me.  This can be a problem for me especially in the position I am in as an assistant.  The problem is, the person doing the walking is the other assistant!!!  The one person who should have the least 'right' to do so!!!  Oh well, like I said lessons are being learned.

Chee!!!!!!!!!!!  I tried to call you this morning but my phone card was expired.  What are you doing?  I have been thinking about you all day long, you must be up to something!?  Spill the beans friend!!  The thousand or so miles between us doesn't matter, I know something is up???!!!

Sarah,  Yes I thought for a couple minutes once that I should move out to Missouri..hehe, no really I would love to be out there to hang out with you and your friends.  I do miss you tons!!

Erin, it was really good to talk with you this weekend and I am praying for you.  Also I hope you have an absolutely wonderful, stupendous, fantastic birthday!!  Happy happy birthday!

Kim, thanks for the quick Xanga comment.  I too have been meaning to sit down and right a 'real' email to you and others.  I am sooooo bad at doing that though, as you can tell.  It takes a lot for me to keep this sporadically updated.  I hope all is going well for you.  Are you at the same job, still liking it, how's your man?

Okay, all for now, time for the beauty sleep so I can awake fresh for the battle of a new day.

Love you all,
Emily

Oh my gosh, here goes two days in a row!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what is happening, besides I am home bored and sick.  Ugh!  Oh well in some odd way it's kinda nice to be sick, it forces me to stop and take a break.

Sometimes I don't realize that I just keep going and going, like the energizer bunny and don't stop to rest.  It takes something outside of me, either friends or getting sick to make me stop and say Whoa Nellie!!  Okay, so I really don't say that, but something similar ;)  I don't feel like I am always going, in fact sometimes I feel like I am really lazy and when others say something like, do you ever rest, or what do you do to relax, I kinda don't get it.  Maybe someday I will.  Do any of you understand what I am trying to say?

My roommate might be getting a new and improved job really soon which will pay better and we were talking about going on a vacation somewhere.  The more we talked about it the more it really really sounded good.  Vacation always does, but I guess sometimes it doesn't make sense to go on vacation, well the more we talked the more it started to make sense.  I have always want to take the train or a cruise up to Alaska, I think it would be so beautiful and relaxing.  Where would you go?

Before I keep rambling I should stop and do some more browsing on the net for things I want and can't have.  I love 'window' shopping!!

Okay, okay so only a couple months later I am actually going to take two minutes and write something new!!  I have probably lost so many viewers now that not many will actually have the pleasure of reading this.

So what's new with me, well still at my job and loving it.  It has been busy with all the disasters and stuff going on around the world and here in our own back yard.  I am continually learning more about non profit humanitarian aid work.  Hmm, not really the exact direction I thought I would be going at this point in my life, but God brought to where I am and I am enjoying it!!

Let me see, I am not sure what else to fill everybody in on.  I feel like work and church is about all I do these days.  I cleaned out my car yesterday how exciting is that!!!  I had a birthday on the 17th now I am closer to 30 than 20.  OH MY GOSH!!!  It's all downhill from here right?  NO, never, I refuse to give in.  Also because I am getting older and work all week my bed time is earlier, which means it's time for me to go to bed now.....I can't staaaayy awaa muchh llloooonnngggg
